EDP Drug and Alcohol Services

EDP is a high performing social enterprise providing substance misuse services within the prisons of Devon and Dorset. Our mission is: To open doors for people affected by substance misuse so they can improve their lives and those of their families and communities.

In partnership with Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, we are delivering an integrated (clinical & psychosocial) recovery focused substance misuse service.

We are currently seeking to fill the following role at HMP Guys Marsh:

Post:               Service Manager
Based:             HMP Guys Marsh 

Hours:             35 hours per week

Salary:             £33,500 - £37,500 depending on relevant experience

Contract:         Permanent

This post is responsible for the leadership and management of the integrated substance misuse service within HMP Guys Marsh in line with contract requirements and Department of Health, Care Quality Commission and HMIP standards. The appointed person will be accountable for the delivery of operational performance outcomes, governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement of the service.

The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of prison services and of current substance misuse policy, legislation and evidence based practices including recovery oriented services. They will have a proven track record in successful performance management and the ability to develop constructive working relationships with key stakeholders. We are looking for someone who takes a solution focused approach, can work on their own initiative and can lead proactively to ensure the very best outcomes and quality services for our service users and commissioners.
