Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role:

The Support Manager will share our passion and commitment to providing high quality support to the people we support and to the staff by promoting person centred approaches. You will be responsible for managing a service which meets the needs and aspirations of the people that we support.

You will lead the team, be a good role model and ensure that our staff are providing excellent support. Ensure your team are confident and skilled in supporting the people, working with them through on the job development, feedback, training and coaching.

You will work with your team to ensure you exceed the standards required and meet all regulatory and organisational expectations.

Support Managers will also take part in an on call rota to ensure that our staff have access to support when it is needed.

About you:

To be successful in this position you will be committed to providing high quality services to people with disabilities.

You will have a proven track record in delivering high quality services, either as a Team Leader or Support Manager.

You will have experience of managing staff teams in the health or social care sector to achieve positive outcomes for the people being supported.

You will be a confident, positive person used to leading by example, and accustomed to working flexibly and being well organised and able to plan effectively.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced individual to manage and develop team members to deliver quality services in the Dereham area of Norfolk and in accordance with regulatory standards and contractual requirements. The role is supernumerary and you will be overseeing supported living services.

You must have a real empathy for people and ensure the needs and aspirations of those supported are being met and that this can be evidenced. It is essential that you can support the development of the services so that the people supported live valued and meaningful lives and that staff continue to be led to provide excellent support services.

You will build constructive relationships with the local authority, families, staff and the wider community and seek opportunities to promote personalised support to the people supported.

You must be able to work flexibly and hold a full UK driving license as you will be required to provide On Call support and assistance. You will line manage a Team Leader and support the supervision of support staff.
