You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking and the presentation of food with the aim to delivering an excellent customer experience. You would also be required to undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by the head chef.

You must have basic cooking skills and have the desire to learn new ones. You will have a good working attitude and enjoy the buzz of working in a busy kitchen environment.
As part of this apprenticeship you will work towards an industry wide recognised NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery. The training will be delivered in the form of work based learning and will include functional skills.

You will be responsible for:
•Preparing, cooing and presenting food to company specification.
•Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times.
•Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and deal with any maintenance issues.
•Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions.
•Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws.
•Be involved and contribute at all team meetings.
•Carry out instructions as given by management and head office.

40 hours per week
2 shift patterns 10am - 6pm and 2pm tp 10pm
2 days off mid week
Double Pay for Bank Holdiays

Apprentices will work between 30 to 40 hours a week and your college time will be included in these. Please note you’ll need to work weekends and evenings and you should consider how you will get to and from the pub. We are located on a main bus route in Longridge.
