Student Opportunities Manager
Salary: £22,785 - £27,587   (depending on experience)
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum and circa a further 11 days for Bank Holiday and University Closure days
Contract: Permanent, 37 hr working week

Location: Derby with occasional travel to Buxton and Leek campus. 

We are looking for a highly talented individual to join our team as our Student Opportunities Manager. The University of Derby Students Union is working to develop its employability programmes through a range of societies and volunteering activities and you will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we launch new projects and opportunities and extend our work within the communities that we are a part of. Your work will involve managing our volunteering, sustainability, societies and our tutorial and enrichment programme for Further Education students. You will manage the dedicated staff team overseeing these areas, providing advice and support to team members, developing relevant and engaging employability focused opportunities and training as well as supporting the development of successful partnerships with stakeholders and seeking external funding to develop our activities. 

The University of Derby Students' Union represents around 24000 students, in both Higher and Further Education, across several campuses and you will work to ensure that student opportunities are accessible to all of our members. You will be extremely well organised and focussed on getting things done in order to support our students. You will be self-motivated with experience in successfully motivating and mentoring others. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to providing a high quality experience for our students.
