A fantastic opportunity is available for a hard-working Night Support Manager to join a small and friendly charity providing supported housing for older people. Based in Easter Compton, South Gloucestershire the successful Night Support Manager will earn £75.28 per shift plus payments for when there is a call-out.
As a Night Support Manager the main duties will include:
The successful Night Support Manager will be very good at dealing with people, composed at all times, approachable and flexible in their approach to work. Previous experience with older people will be an advantage, but is not essential.

Rate of Pay
A salary of £75.28 per shift, paid calendar monthly in arrears with annual cost-of-living increases in April. Food is provided whilst on duty (eg self-prepared breakfast and supper with the residents).
(if called between the hours of 8.00 pm and 11.00 pm payment of £7.20 per hour – or part hour – will be paid. If called between the hours of 11.00 pm and 7.00 am, a payment of £7.20 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours will be paid for the first call and payment for the exact time for any subsequent calls in the same night).
Days of Work Friday Night Week 1
Saturday Night Week 2 Hours of Work : each shift Day 1 Active duty: 4.30 pm – 8.00 pm; On-call: 8.00 pm – 8.00 am (Day 2)
Day 2
Active duty: 8.00 am – 9.30 am
As a Night Support Manager the main duties will include:
- To keep a caring and supportive eye on residents, liaising as appropriate with various departments
- Health, safety and food hygiene matters
- Fire prevention/precaution
- Maintaining all necessary paperwork (e.g. Accident book/residents’ Day Book)
- Liaising with the General Manager and catering staff.
- To assist in supervision of residents’ medication, provided a monitored dosage system is used
- Dealing with any resident emergencies whilst on duty, ensuring appropriate liaison with other members of staff, the House Committee and the head office
- To assist in serving of supper, eating with the residents.
- Such other duties as the General Manager, House Committee or the Society’s Chief Executive shall decide.
- To cover in other houses when required
