SEN Teaching Assistant

TA required for long term and full time supply position at Primary PRU, mentoring young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties with immediate start.

Responsibilities

- Behavioural and pastoral support

- Engaging with young people to help them access the primary curriculum

- help to aid progression of young people and improve confidence, social skills and academic attainment.

Requirements

- Previous experience of working with children with challenging behaviour either in an education, youth work or care setting.
- resilience in challenging situations.
- calmness under pressure.
- ability to build rapport with young people and not take things personally.
- full time availability.
- flexibility to travel (drivers preferable but not essential).
- adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
