Depot Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Depot Supervisor to join Imexpart Ltd based in Mansfield.

Imexpart Ltd, one of the largest and most respected independent Truck Specialists in the UK are seeking a Depot Supervisor to join their team in Mansfield.  Having served the automotive industry since 1986, Imex is a leading independent parts distributor, offering a genuine alternative to the franchised network.

As a Depot Supervisor your duties and responsibilities will be:

• Provide clear direction to staff (initially 2 subordinates) to allow them to deal with day to day procedural issues in an efficient manner but within the boundaries of their responsibility.
• Undertake driving / delivery duties on a regular basis as required in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide a first point of contact to depot staff on all day-to-day delivery issues including route planning and order of deliveries.
• Ensure deliveries are completed in accordance to the structured routes agreed upon and wherever possible in the most economical manner possible.
• Be familiar with the Company's structured delivery system ensuring that orders are delivered to customers at agreed times.  Investigate and discuss ideas for improving the efficiency of runs with your line manager.
• Complete all company administration speedily and efficiently according to company guidelines.
• Carry out stock maintenance as required through general housekeeping and reporting procedures.
• Responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the depot including stock management.
• Carry out leadership / duties as requested within any of the operational departments.
• Ensure accuracy at all times when picking and packing orders and loading of vehicles.
• Correct and appropriate handling of payments from customers by cash, cheque and credit card.
• Security of premises including opening and locking up at appropriate times.
• Attend premises for emergency call outs as directed by head office, ie customer orders, alarm activations, etc.
• Continually investigate ways of improving the efficiency of the depot and the delivery areas.

An ideal Depot Supervisor will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience within the automotive industry
• History of managing staff
• Driving / Stock / Warehousing experience
• Good levels of IT, literacy and numeracy
• Good customer service skills
• Polite and courteous manner
