Fire & Security Engineer

This private owned alarm installation company is looking to recruit a Fire & Security Engineer.

Summary

To provide effective support to the business by way of inspecting and testing of;

- Addressable and conventional Fire Alarm Systems,
- Emergency lighting systems including addressable and central battery systems
- Intruder alarm systems
- Access control
- CCTV
- Remote signalling systems such as Redcare & Dualcom
- Taking part in an out of hours on call rota
- Proven technical background with a good knowledge of fire detection and fire alarm systems
- Preferable you will be educated to a degree standard in a relevant electronic / electrical discipline or have already achieved third party accredited training in the companies areas of expertise. Although these qualifications are not an essential requirement for employment.
- Familiar with the British standards relating to the above
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technology
- Attend and repair emergency callouts as required
- Keeping organized stock levels in vehicle
- Smart and clean appearance
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering high quality customer service
- Full clean driving licence

Must be able to:

- Be security and CRB checked (No criminal convictions or any financial judgements which may prohibit employment within the security sector)
- Have a 5 year employment history
- Work at height from ladders and scaffolding
- Identify colours
- Work in confined spaces (loft space, attics & lift shafts)
- Lift heavy objects (batteries, ladders and scaffolding)
- Work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors
- Flexible working hours as part of a call out rota
