Team Leader
Technical Support Unit (TSU)
- Contract: Fixed Term (2 years)

The NWROCU is a six-police force collaboration who are looking for two professional 1st line managers to work in a technical operations capacity. This is a challenging operational role, based primarily in the Greater Manchester area.
The ideal candidates will possess excellent proven people management, innovative thinking and teamwork skills combining leadership with expert technical knowledge. You will have studied either electronic engineering or have a detailed understanding of IT Communications systems, electrical and electronic design and engineering. Needless to say you will be capable of leading, briefing and supporting colleagues, within a strong problem solving context to service the needs of our customers. Previous 1st line management skills will play a key part in delivering an operational service to support the disruption of crime. Through technological innovation applied systems performance through to practical field based technical delivery.
This unique blend will involve assessing operational requirements, planning and conducting the installation of technical solutions using outstanding communications skills, multi-tasking, whilst being highly organised. Service delivery will entail health and safety compliance, the production of technical feasibility studies through to a working solution within a complex, electronic, and data communications environment. The in-field challenges include needing to be flexible and resilient, working as part of a wider integrated team to deliver a positive contribution to the needs of the organisation and form part of an on call service.
Successful candidates must meet the necessary security standards before appointment and hold a full driving licence.
