As our Pastry Chef you will work alongside a world class hospitality department who cater for over half a million delegates annually. The aim of this position is to lead the Pastry Team in the delivery of bakery products, ensuring that quality, presentation and consistency comply with company standards.

Responsibilities of our Pastry Chef include but are not limited to:

- Lead the Pastry Team in the delivery of bakery and pastry products to exceed customer expectations.

- Bake fresh pastries, desserts and breads for all venues

- Ensure bakery products are prepared and delivered in line with forecasted needs

- Responsible for the complete set-up, cleanliness and organization of the Pastry Department and bakery areas at all kitchen locations

- Review menu items and make changes as necessary

- Where possible, make suggestions for process improvements and product development

- Act as a manager, team leader and motivator for the Pastry Department working closely with and maintaining good relations with all culinary team members and other departments

To become our Pastry Chef you must have the following skills, attributes and experience:

- A proven track record as a Pastry Chef.

- Will possess world class cooking abilities and a true passion for all things culinary

- Must have a creative flair

- Ability to train motivate and inspire a team

- An intermediate food hygiene certificate would be advantageous.

This position is being advertised on a full time basis, 40 hours per week, to be worked 5 over 7 days in

line with business needs. However, flexibility of working hours is also a requirement, as the delivery of excellence is not always a 9 to 5 job.
