Teaching Assistant 1-1 Pupil Support, Conwy School

We are currently recruiting for a large primary school in the Colwyn Bay area who have an immediate requirement for the 1-1 support of a Year 4 pupil.  The role is to support a child that due to a medical condition, spends a portion of the day confined to a wheelchair and requires physical support throughout the day.  The ideal candidate would have had experience supporting a pupil of a similar age and have assisted with personal care.  Applicants must have an in-date manual handling experience with recent, practical experience working with children.

The position is part time over 5 days and will start in September 2016.  In addition to this vacancy, Excell Supply are regularly recruiting for other long-term roles and day to day supply so additional work may be available following the completion of this position.

The ideal candidate will have;

• A relevant Childcare/Learning Support Qualification or extensive experience within the classroom
•  Experience working in an SEN environment
