Job Title: National Development Executive

Salary: Circa £35,000 plus bonus, car allowance and other excellent benefits

Based: National role with travel across the UK with 1 day per week in Cannock, Staffordshire

About the Role:

The company has an excellent opportunity for a talented, passionate Area Sales Executive to join their Commercial Sales Team. They are looking for relationship building, decision makers who are committed to generating their own leads and developing them into new business opportunities.

Your principle responsibilities will be to:

  • Generate strong new business pipeline within their commercial national accounts business preparing proposals and tender documents and delivering presentations of proposal to clients to help drive business growth.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders up to Director level to support the development of successful bid campaigns.
  • In conjunction with the bid team, produce professional and timely tender documentation, presentations and cost tender clarifications.
  • Attend supplier information days and external events as a representative of the company giving a professional and knowledgeable image of the business.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Field based experience in a customer facing sales position with demonstrable ability to consistently achieve targets.
  • Knowledge of the waste industry is desirable.
  • Experience of bid/tender management desirable.
  • Excellent standard of written communication with the ability to produce professional documentation.
  • Highly numerate and able to demonstrate a clear grasp of bid financing, cost tender clarification, interest rate of return, overhead contributions and return on capital employed.
  • Enthusiasm for the environment and sustainability is beneficial.
  • A naturally self-disciplined character with the ability to manage themselves and their diary efficiently.
  • IT literacy in Microsoft and ideally Google drive.
