Shift Plant Manager

Job Elements: -

• The primary mission of the post, with the support of the day team, is to lead, drive and co-ordinate production activity on shifts.
• Ensuring safety standards are met and influencing a positive safety culture
• Developing and promoting a continuous improvement culture
• Maintain procedures that provide safe systems of work, excellent customer service and plant reliability
• Managing and driving the shift personnel to reach agreed production targets
• Take all responsibility for the plant outside of normal working hours

The ideal candidate will have:

• A quantifiable record of achievement in safety, productivity improvement and effective communications is essential
• The successful candidate will ideally possess formal qualifications in safety, science, engineering or proven shift management experience.
• High level of safety awareness
• Strong decision making skills.
• Ability to cope well under pressure.
• Strong man management skills.
• Background within heavy / process engineering
