Helpdesk / Technical Support Engineer offering a salary of £25,000 to £35,000 with annual bonus potential (Negotiable depending on experience).

The purpose of the role is to provide office and field based telecom systems support to customers based throughout the UK.

The role would suit a Telecoms Engineer who wants to develop a career within a dynamic and ambitious company. The ideal living location for this position is Hampshire or Surrey.

The role is expected to be 70% desk based with a 30% on site if needed. On occasion there will be the requirement to help customers out of hours, this is part of the role. A company van can be supplied for site visits and full travel costs covered.

 

The ideal Telecoms Helpdesk / Support Engineer:

  • Strong communication skills that and well presented
  • Hardworking, organised and motivated
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Proactive problem solving skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience with Avaya IP OFFICE & Applications preferred
  • Engineers who have experience on OAK, Draytek, Broadsoft, Toshiba, LG, and Panasonic Systems will also be considered

 

The role of Telecoms Helpdesk / Support Engineer:

The successful candidate will be able to take a fault or request and either fix it remotely or go to site and resolve the issue. From time to time it will also be required to attend site and assist or complete installations.

  • Remote diagnostics on AVAYA IP OFFICE
  • Client support on AVAYA IP OFFICE
  • Maintenance on AVAYA IP OFFICE
  • Remote prebuilding & Testing of new systems on AVAYA IP OFFICE
  • Attending Site for follow up on a fault and Managing Field engineers
  • Booking and project managing new installations
  • Confirming the equipment and software for the finance department to order
  • Setting up and configuring SIP trunks
  • Managing Lines and Internet connections
  • Looking at new Products
