Skilled Welder - Fabricator

As a specialist subcontractor with circa £3m turnover, they have 35 years experience in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork for the construction industry.

They are looking to recruit a Skilled Welder-Fabricator.

Their range of products includes architectural metalwork such as Staircases, Balustrades' Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies.

The successful fabricator-welder must possess the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience in fabrication and be capable of welding/fabricating, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium for architectural fabrications such as Staircases, Balustrades' Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies.
- Adaptable and willing to encompass all aspects of the trade as required.
- Able to work from and to read/understand engineering drawings.
- Fabrication - ability to use cutting tools, press brakes etc.
- Welding - MIG and TIG, proven ability to weld to a high standard, working to high tolerances and be able to 240-320 grit finish polish stainless steel.
- A current Full Driving license.
- A trade related NVQ 2 and a current CSCS card would be an advantage.

Hourly rate is negotiable and dependant on experience
