Salary circa £35,000 per annum

Our client is one of the World’s largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass sectors.

With around 28,000 permanent employees, the Group has principal manufacturing operations in 30 countries and sales in over 130. With just over a third of their sales in Europe, around a third are in Japan and the rest primarily in North and South America, South East Asia and China.

They are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and driven SAS Software Developer to work as part of a Global Development team.

The SAS team is responsible for developing, testing, enhancing and supporting new or existing bespoke web applications to fulfil a specific business need throughout the full lifecycle.  Developers are often involved in multiple projects at the same time, with business sponsors from different sectors and a cross-region project team.

The successful candidate will have excellent programming skills in C#; TSQL; database design; .Net 4; MVC and Asp.net. Experience of Bootstrap; JavaScript/jQuery; Angular; entity frameworks; Dependency injection; inversion of control and material for web would be beneficial.

In addition, candidates should have experience with both SharePoint integration and mobile application development.  A degree in a relevant discipline would also be desirable however is not essential.

With the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, you will be able to work in a global team across multiple time zones/languages and will thrive in a team environment.

A full UK driving licence and car ownership would be an advantage due to limited public transport to the site.

Selection will include a competency interview, aptitude tests and a Personality Questionnaire.
