The school is a small voluntary aided primary school with 230 pupils, reaffirmed as a good school at the last Ofsted inspection in 2013. They welcome pupils from a range of backgrounds and cultures. Many pupils speak an additional language to English, which the schools see as a way of learning from one another. They promote mutual understanding and equal opportunity, as well as instilling a love for learning.
They are a 1 form entry school welcoming pupils from Nursery through to year 6. The school actively promotes MIND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition... Do it) which works with parents and children to provide advice, games, and activities for a healthy school and home life. Variety of learning is key and therefore the school regularly takes part in activites include reading competitions, outward bound trips, and forest explorations.
