LGV Delivery Driving / HGV Driver (Class 2 / Cat C / C+E Driving Licence) that has great customer service, time-management and organisational skills required for a well-established Company based in Baginton, Warwick, Warwickshire, West Midlands.
SALARY: £23,400 +Bonus + Benefits
WORKING HOURS: 50 Hours per Week (Nights), Monday to Friday, Midnight to approximately 10am (10 Hour Run)
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Class 2 / Cat C / C+E LGV Delivery Driving / HGV Driver that has great customer service, time-management and organisational skills.
Ideally as the Class 2 LGV Delivery Driving / HGV Driver you will have previous experience working within the Transport and Logistics / Distribution industry delivering freight to businesses.
Working as the Class 2 LGV Delivery Driving / HGV Driver you will be tasked with delivering freight within your allocated route, which should be covered within 6 to 7 stops per day, depending on the area covered.
As the Class 2 LGV Delivery Driving / HGV Driver you should have excellent customer service and time management skills to ensure you meet timed delivery deadlines and portray a professional Company image to the customer.

DUTIES
- Carry out daily routine inspections of your allocated vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy in accordance with the Company Handbook
- Report all vehicle maintenance requirements using relevant paperwork and escalate issues to your Line Manager
- Ensure your allocated vehicle is maintained in accordance with VOSA inspection standards
- Drive your allocated vehicle with due care and attention in accordance with the Highway Code of Practice
- Deliver and collect all requested freight in line with set expectations and instructions
- Comply with tachograph legislation at all times, downloading data regularly for reporting purposes
- Complete any relevant documentation, such as mileage and vehicle defect sheets, as per local requirements
- Work in a timely and efficient manner, complying with local deadlines
- Report any operational issues or concerns to your Line Manager in a timely manner
- Represent the Company by maintaining a professional appearance and wearing full uniform at all times
- Work in accordance with Company risk assessments, manual handling training and Health and Safety guidelines at all times as set out in the Company Handbook.
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a Class 2 Driving Licence
- Previous experience working within the Transport and Logistics / Distribution industry delivering freight to businesses would be highly desirable
- Anticipate, respond to and seek to exceed the expectations of existing and potential customers

- Respond positively to changing business circumstances and readily adapts behaviour to maintain effective performance
- Be able to work in a well-structured manner with strong organisational skills
- Ensure tasks are completed by set timescales, accurately and with an attention to detail
- Build and maintain good working relationships, able to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
- Good level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Candidates will be required to have a comprehensive 5 year work/education history background check
