The British Red Cross helps people in crisis,whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network,responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad toprepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives. The Red Cross believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn first aid and know how to help in a crisis. Our teaching methods are based on educational research that identifies how people most effectively learn, retain and recall first aid skills. We provide a range of first aid courses and have developed free online learning resource and apps to make first aid accessible for all.
Our educational aim is to make first aid skills simpler and easier to learn, we hope people will be more confident and willing to use their first aid skills in an emergency. We are focused on building individual and community resilience, reducing the risk of vulnerability, and developing ability, confidence and a willingness to act. We are responsible for increasing educational learning through direct delivery, social media, online and mobile, learning and positioning.
The post holder will work across the Education team to deliver Education outcomes across social platforms, including, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Responsible for reporting, monitoring and evaluation of educational reach and learning gained through social media activity. Reactively produce and share content as events or opportunities to promote first aid learning present themselves. Schedule weekly campaigns of education content for BRC social media channels, adopting a cycle of content production which produces purposeful and engaging content along with inform on latest trends and opportunities, along with pitching creative ideas.
