Micro Pro Ltd consists of a small team of IT Professionals providing Support services to Businesses and Domestic clients in Surrey & South West London. Our Business clients range from 1-100 users in a multitude of environments, from the small home office to multi-site offices from London to Dubai.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable person to join our IT Support team, providing customer-facing solutions primarily to our business clients via telephone / remote support and on-site visits. The successful candidate will be a logical thinker, able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills in a time-efficient way. They should have excellent interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner, and a great command of the English language. They should be a well-mannered, highly presentable individual, with a self-motivated, can-do attitude towards tasks. They should have the ability to work well without supervision or as part a team. They should have excellent time keeping ability, with an eye for detail, and their administrative skills should be of a very high standard.
Key Areas of responsibility:
- Develop a rapport and maintain excellent working relationships with clients to promote high levels of customer satisfaction.
- The prompt resolution of 1st/2nd/3rd line support issues raised through our ticketing system and requests via remote support or on-site visits.
- Systems administration tasks.
- Meeting new clients, evaluating their requirements and existing infrastructure and developing suitable proposals to meet their requirements and budgets
- Completing the installation and maintenance of clients’ IT infrastructure in person or remotely.
- Supporting the Micro Pro team as a whole with your knowledge and skill sets.
Qualifications
Applicants seeking higher remuneration should have an MSCA: Windows Server 2012, or similar server-based qualification as well as relevant experience. Applicants without some of these skills or certifications are still welcome to apply.
Requirements:
Excellent knowledge and experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining:
- Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012 & Mac OS.
- Virtualisation, Mainly Hyper-V and VMware Workstation etc.
- Server/PC Hardware and Software issues.
- RAID (1, 5, 6).
-NAS devices like Synology, Qnap and occasionally other
- Wireless Networks.
- Hosted Exchange (mainly Office 365) and DNS configuration for migrations.
- Routers (Routers, Firewall and Switches.
- Full, Clean UK driving license - Company Vehicle provided.
- Readiness to visit client sites at offices and occasionally and home.
Advantageous:
Our clients are very diverse and this means so can their ideal IT solution, knowledge and the ability to apply it in other technologies is also beneficial. Such as:
- Cloud Technologies (eg. Google Drive, Google Apps, Onedrive, Dropbox)
- DrayTek Routers & Wireless Access Points primarily UNIFI
-NAS devices, Primarily Synology
- Experience with HP SAN (MSA), iscsi targets, replication technologies.
- Sage, Any experience troubleshooting and supporting.
- Apple equipment (eg. Apple Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme & Express).
- Mobile Devices (esp. Android & Apple iOS).
