We are looking for an experienced, energetic and motivated Office Manager for an expanding Manchester city centre Construction Company. If successful you will enjoy playing a key role in the overall running of the organisation supporting management and other team members.
 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Be responsible for establishing further and maintaining the existing administration and management processes required to ensure smooth day to day running

·         Of particular importance is the Maintenance, Auditing and Administration Management of all quality control and company accreditation such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 etc.

·         Take a lead role in the implementation of new initiatives within the office

·         Track and report on project performance providing real time comprehensive view of all projects.

·         Make and receive telephone calls, evaluating communications, taking messages, re-directing and filtering calls to ensure all enquires are dealt with by the appropriate person

·         Organising and diary management of senior members of staff

·         Implementing internal controls, processes and systems to improve efficiency

·         All aspects of file and document management, status reporting, time reporting and other ad hoc duties

·         Have the attitude to want to progress your career within a challenging environment.

 

Required knowledge & experience: 

·         At least 2 years’ experience gained in Construction industry and a project based environment. Site or Head Office based.

·         Intermediate / advanced working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

·         Strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills

·         Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and ability to work efficiently to complete set tasks

·         Proven ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and meeting strict deadlines

·         Ability to prioritise own work and an ability to think and plan ahead.

·         The candidate is a team player and willing to help others; able to work with little supervision and with a positive attitude

·         The candidate must be personable and able to relate well with co‐workers and all levels of management

·         A flexible and mature approach and the ability to use initiative and common sense.
