Role: 
The Customer Sales Advisor is responsible for the Customer Lifetime Value, which will be achieved by paying attention to the customer needs via proactive Account Management. Providing a professional point of contact will enhance our relationship with the customer and the ability to build a warm lasting relationship with your accounts is a crucial part of the position as is the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. The role will involve learning areas of the business that are crucial to the role thereby developing your knowledge and obtaining a clear understanding of products and service offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure continued support for existing customers
  • Monitor account fluctuations to ascertain month on month variances
  • Profiling key accounts to identify possible areas for development
  • Cross sell and up sell additional products
  • Report monthly on activity levels and areas of development
  • Undertake monthly campaigns
  • Set appointments for field sales
  • Reactivate dormant accounts
  • Proactively contact prospects who have been quoted to increase conversion rates
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints including credit queries
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Process orders, forms, applications and requests
  • Maintain data base of sample requests and POS placed in accounts
  • Create a database that tracks sales performance against POS
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of enquiries, comments and complaints
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Follow up on customer interactions

Essential Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have a good track record in a telesales role and will be used to making a high number of outbound calls per day to existing loyal customers and new leads
  • A good all round education and strong computer skills are important together with excellent administration skills to ensure the maintenance of the customer database  
  • Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing excellent service
  • A calm and professional telephone manner
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to prioritise own workload and work under pressure
  • The ability to take on board quickly and learn specialist information
  • Positive and flexible approach; willing to go the ‘extra mile’ when needed
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Previous experience in customer services
