Contract Administrator

Location: Scottish Power Energy Networks, Caernarfon

40 hours per week

Salary: £7.20 per hour

Glendale is a £50 million+ company delivering ‘green services’ throughout the UK. Activities include grounds management, landscaping, countryside and estates management, horticulture and arboriculture. Glendale’s arboriculture activities generates turnover in excess of £19 million. Glendale has been working with Scottish Power Energy Networks for some time and carries out c£2.0m p.a. of arboricultural services across Anglesey and North Wales alongside contracts with local and regional customers.

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and competent administrator to assist in the running of our Caernarfon office. We are seeking to appoint a conscientious and detail orientated person with a proven track record in administration to support the management team.

The main area of responsibility will be to provide general office support within all areas of administration. Duties will include payroll, raising purchase orders & invoicing, inputting financial data into the estimate and forecast, answering incoming calls, dealing with customers and suppliers, ensuring the filing system is kept up to date and to assist in developing the business in the local area. Knowledge of Utility Arboriculture/grounds maintenance would be an advantage but not essential.

Ideally candidates will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English & Maths, will be a competent user of Microsoft Office and Google, with excellent communication and organisation skills. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and have the ability to work under pressure to meet any deadlines required. Confidentiality and demonstrable IT skills are essential along with a confident telephone manner and attention to detail.

Candidates should possess the ability to work independently and have good numeracy skills along with the ability to work within tight deadlines and to set procedures. Diplomacy, confidentiality and a customer-facing approach are also essential. The ability to communicate in Welsh would be desirable.
