Accounts Assistant

Carfinance247 seek a fantastic accounts assistant! In this responsible position you will report directly to our Finance Controller and work as part of our finance team to complete tasks relating to the preparation and maintenance of financial records. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and possess excellent interpersonal skills to allow them to speak confidently with customers and external contacts.  

Main Responsibilities

-          Matching and allocating bank payments and receipts to invoices

-          Ensuring the purchase ledger is maintained and kept up to date

-          Inputting expenses returns and ensuring correct VAT treatment

-          Assisting with preparation of bank reconciliations and the yearend audit

-          Additional ad hoc data retrieval / reporting tasks

Skills and Attributes

-          Knowledge of accountancy and bookkeeping

-          Excellent communication and organisational skills 

-          Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy

-          Experience of using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products 

-          Experience of using Sage 200 would be advantageous
