Telecom Field Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our thriving company as an experienced Field Telecom Engineer.  DataKom are a well-established telecommunications company based in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan.

As a Telecom Field Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:

• To serve as a Mobile Field Service Engineer on assigned installations maintaining a variety of products and equipment.
• Carry out installations, offer end-user training and guidance, troubleshoot and support PBX solutions.

An ideal Telecom Field Engineer will have the following skills and qualifications:

• You will be comfortable working as part of a team as well as on your own with a customer focused approach.
• Demonstrable experience working with PBX business telephone systems, applications and peripherals
• You will have experience with CAT5 / CAT6 / Fibre Structure cable installations
• Able to plan, implement, problem-solve and support system installations
• Have a good understanding of telecommunications with IT experience and knowledge
• As a representative of the business, you will work in a positive and professional manner
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work to deadlines with good time management
• Keen to learn new systems & skills
• A clean full UK driving licence is required

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:45-5:30 (Note this roles start and finish times will require flexibility at times).

In return for this you will receive a salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, plus 21 days holiday per year.
