Teaching Assistant required to support primary pupils with EBD in small groups within PRU environment.

Responsibilities:

- act as positive role model and behaviour mentor

- carry out pastoral tasks relating to each young person in your class

- adhere to school policies and procedures

- promote inclusiveness and a safe and secure environment

- support pupils with learning and aim to increase attainment

Requirements:


- have experience of working with primary aged pupils.
- have supported young people from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds.
- know how to deal with difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
- be able to build rapport and trust with pupils quickly.
- be sympathetic towards differing needs and backgrounds.
- there may be a need to escort pupil from one site to another so drivers are preferable.


You don't need to have been a TA in the past but you may be from a youth work, care, or education background and have transferrable skills. If you have done Team Teach Positive Handling training in the last 2 years that would be beneficial but not essential.
