Quantitative Analyst - Energy Storage

Salary: £55,000-£70,000 per annum
I am in search of a driven and experienced Quantitative Analyst on behalf of a multinational energy company. This Quantitative Analyst will play a key role in the development, implementation and application of models for position modelling and valuation of various gas storage contracts. They need somebody who can provide high quality analytical skills across the department. The right person will be able to effectively validate and improve existing modelling developments as well as review and assess complex processes in order to maximise value and control risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantitative Analyst:
* Develop and apply quantitative models for some of the largest gas storage facilities in the UK
* Develop and apply quantitative models for the portfolio of bundled and unbundled gas storage products
* Work alongside market analysts to model the behaviour of important gas storage value drivers
* Integrate gas storage models with the main commercial strategies for operations and marketing of structures gas storage contracts
* Contribute to the structuring and valuation of new gas storage products
* Support complex transactions and investment decisions through analysis
* Manage and monitor positions in both tradable and non-tradeable time horizons
* Develop and implement the market risk policy
* Modelling of physical assets
Essential Skills and Experience of the Quantitative Analyst:
* Minimum MSc in a quantitative subject
* Strong Industry use of Excel VBA and Matlab, Python or C#
* Gas or Power trading experience
* Experience of energy asset valuation, hedging and dispatch
* Excellent quantitative modelling skills
* CQF is preferred
