You will develop and deliver adoption support services through individual, family and group work throughout the Midlands with children and young people who have been adopted.
Keys responsibilities include identifying user requirements and developing adoption support services, promotion and co-ordination of our service and providing advice, guidance, support and counselling to families and individuals affected by adoption. You will also take lead on the organising/co-ordination and supervising of residential camps on a regular basis and deliver training and presentations. This will require some overnight stay. In addition, you will develop and run support groups in the West Midlands region.

The successful candidate will be CQSW, Dip SW qualified and registered with the relevant social care council. You will also have experience of working with children and families and providing support within a multi agency setting. Knowledge of the Adoption and Children Acts are essential with a sound understanding of how adoption affects all parties.
