Quality Manager

Due to expansion a fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Manager to join a market leader in the manufacture of automatic combustion equipment. Based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester the successful Quality Manager will earn a competitive salary depending on experience.

As a Quality Manager you will work with other members of staff to develop processes and procedures to maintain and improve the company’s high standards. In addition, the successful Quality Manager’s core duties will include:

• Maintaining company compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 and coordinate the transition from ISO 9001:2008 to the new ISO 9001:2015
• Maintain EC product approvals for burners and safety gas valves with our notified body (BSI)
• Manage company QMS, maintain quality procedures and work instructions
•  Provide guidance on Quality issues to both professional & skilled staff.
•  Supervise/control calibration of all internal & external measuring equipment
• Liaise with BSI on all relevant certification issues, surveillance etc
• Carry out internal auditing activities in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001
• Record all audit details reporting non-conformities/observations to senior management
• Act as management representative and escort for third party assessments and customer visits
• Organise and chair Quality/Management reviews, evaluate Quality data and QMS performance metrics
• Maintain/control existing documentation in conjunction with Environmental/ H&S policy issues
