Job Title: Lead Developer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

Due to their continued growth, they have a unique opportunity for a Lead Developer to join their in-house IT team based in Manchester City Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Developer who is looking for their next challenge. Managing a team of Developers you will grow with the business and get a rare and exciting opportunity to put your development skills to the test, whilst working on an exciting range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating the software development team setting expectations and goals for team members, reviewing work and evaluating employee performance.
- Providing overall technical leadership for the development, innovation and maintenance of the software development department
- Working alongside the IT Operations Manager to ensure new applications and modules are on-boarded with seamless handover/ transition
- Evaluating new project requests for the business to determine technical feasibility and provide recommendations.
- Championing appropriate, project tailored, methodology within the development team
- Tracking and reporting on project status, determine project estimates, and workload assignment
- Identifying and implementing improvements to processes and methods, ensuring quality applications are delivered, on time and within budget
- Work 60% hands-on through the project life-cycle when coding and testing
- Delivery of complex web and desktop applications and interfaces
Key Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of VB.NET or C#
- Very good understanding of OO programing principles and ability to apply them in code
- Experience and understanding of version control software (SVN preferred)
- Experience with Entity Framework, XPO or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of XML, T-SQL and Regex
- Good understanding of database design principles
- Experience with Web Services or WCF APIs
- Experience with memory optimisation applications
- Experience with dealing with stakeholders at all levels as well as external clients
- The ability to openly share knowledge with the team and other members of the company
- A relevant degree/Qualification
- Experience managing or leading a team
