Credit Controller
Location: Manchester
Salary: £18000 - £20000 per annum + Pension & Bupa

The role will give you the opportunity to work alongside our clients who are global / Blue Chip organisations based across UK, Ireland, Continental Europe and Asia Pacific regions including: Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bank of China, Lloyds Banking Group, Deloitte, AXA Investment Managers, AVIVA and Credit Suisse.

Principal Responsibilities

* Effective monitoring of customer payments to achieve cash and aged debt targets across our domestic, European and US markets
* Ensure prompt action is taken for non-payment or continued late payment
* Allocating payments for all BACS and direct payments
* Daily recording of permanent placement deals
* Work with Contract Operations team to record contract placement deals
* To report to management on issues and inform them early of potential debtors problems
* Proactively seek to improve credit control systems
* Send out monthly statements to clients
* Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses
* Managing staff credit cards including monthly reconciliations

Essential

* Confident and organised in your approach to debt retrieval and possess strong communication skills required to build and sustain relationships with our external customers, and internally across all divisions of the business
* Confident, tactful individual who is self-motivated and approachable
* Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to work in a team as well as individually
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Desirable

* Exposure to SAGE 50 accounting software package
* Previous Credit Control Experience (not essential)
