Staff Nurses

• Hospice Band 5 Post
• £21,384 - £27,673
• Per annum pro rata + shift premiums
• Full / part time (min 22.5 Hrs per week)
• Location: Little Hulton

Our busy inpatient unit with 45 beds across our two sites provides patients with specialist end of life care including symptom management. 
Working as part of the wider multidisciplinary team you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands-on person-centred care looking beyond the patient’s condition.

You will:

• Be a confident communicator with the ability to articulate your views and discuss patients’ needs with the multidisciplinary team.
• Have excellent planning skills with the ability to respond to changing priorities.
• Be able to reflect on your clinical practice and implement improvements to support patients and their families.
• Ideally have experience of working in palliative care. However, applications from newly qualified Registered Nurses or those from other specialisms will be considered.
• Ideally be competent to administer IV medications, blood transfusions, enteral feeding and non-invasive ventilation, but support and development is available.

Our Practice Development Centre supports our continuous learning environment, including supporting staff development. There is also opportunity to mentor our student nurses and to become a link nurse.

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check the cost of which is covered by the Hospice.
