Head Chef

FINTEC recruit is looking for a Head Chef for our prestigious client in the hospitality sector. This is a permanent position based in Newport, Wales with salary range of £29,000 to £30,000. You should have a prior experience of working at a prestigious resort or of working in a new restaurant focusing on contemporary Asian cuisine.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Head Chef your responsibilities will include the following:-

• Ensure all Banqueting and Restaurant requirements are dealt with in an orderly and accelerated manner

• Evaluate levels of guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement

• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and any faults should be reported immediately

• Make sure that all stock is correctly labelled and rotated

• Take complete responsibility of the kitchen

• Act in accordance with Health & Safety legislation

The ideal candidate for a Head Chef role will have:-

• A minimum of 10 years experience in a 4*/5* establishment, of which at least 2 years as a Senior Sous Chef/Head Chef

• Minimum of 18 months at Senior Sous Chef level or 3 Years Sous Chef Level

• A Food Hygiene Certificate

• Sound Computer literacy

• Excellent leadership skills for handling a team of around 8 staff-member
