Job Title: HR Adviser

Location: based near Keighley (moving to Leeds Centre)

Salary: £35,313 to £41,321

Position: Full time, Permanent

Closing Date: Monday 27th June at 12 noon

The HR Adviser will support the work of the Joint Diocesan Secretary in delivering HR advice, support and coaching to the Bishop's staff and parishes.

The role will involve ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements and best practice by providing HR support and advice to the Bishop's Staff and parishes on HR matters such as recruitment, discipline and grievance, capability, long term absence and redundancy processes.

You will also provide support to the Bishop's Staff on strategic operations such as re-structuring.

Experience and Background:

  • To be educated to a University standard or equivalent
  • A complete working knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • The ability to achieve deadlines and prioritise a busy schedule
  • The ability to use initiative and work in a proactive manner
  • The ability to be mobile around the Diocese
  • Chartered membership of CIPD (MCIPD or FCIPD) would be an advantage

This is a full time role based in Steeton near Keighley, but will move the Leeds centre in the Autumn of 2016.
