They have 2 opportunities within the Welfare Reform Team for a Money Adviser to provide their tenants with welfare rights and debt advice. This is an extremely busy, pressured and exciting time for them as changes to the benefits system start to bite, under the Governments welfare reform agenda and we're now looking for the right people to take it forward.

They are looking for a proactive, customer focussed individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be offering support and guidance to their tenants in finding options to their present financial situation, enabling them to pay their rent. You will liaise closely with the rents team and external agencies, to provide advice and guidance on issues relating to debt advice, welfare benefits and legal issues on behalf of the tenant.

You will be highly organised and have the ability to help tenants to identify and understand the prioritisation of debts and managing a budget and be able to offer recommendations for effective solutions. You will at times be dealing with vulnerable and distressed tenants therefore require the ability to be empathetic but assertive when needed.
