An exciting new role within Vaclensa PLC, one of the UK’s largest and most successful suppliers of commercial cleaning machines and aftersales services. We’re looking for someone keen to develop their career in procurement.

 

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will administer the generation of accurate Purchase Orders, present Purchase Orders to the Directors for sign off, send then liaise with suppliers to confirm Purchase Order receipt, organise shipments both domestic and international and chase suppliers / forwarders to ensure goods are delivered timely.

You will focus heavily on urgent ‘Waiting for Parts’ orders for priority customers, chasing suppliers daily to achieve delivery in the shortest possible timescale, and communicating this information in report form to several departments within the business.

You will work alongside the Purchasing Manager utilising our stock replenishment programme to regularly analyse stock levels, and implement recommended level changes. Increasing levels as machine population and usage increases, and reducing/removing levels as usage decreases.

Your role will involve sourcing machines, spare parts and components from new or existing suppliers within the UK, Europe and occasionally internationally, negotiating competitive prices and beneficial payment terms, and maintaining these relationships to our advantage.

You will be supporting our technical team, liaising with supplier to achieve product changes and enhancements. This often requires accessing exploded diagrams / technical specifications from online sources or our own product database.

  • Good understanding of MS Excel.
  • Good organisational ability - can multi-task, prioritise and think ahead.
  • Good technical ability – some knowledge of electrical / mechanical engineering practises
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to take on challenging projects.
