In 1773, Assay Office Birmingham was founded by innovative entrepreneur and legendary Birmingham Silversmith Matthew Boulton, to protect the consumer and to serve the trade, with integrity and independence.
Today, the AnchorCert Group comprises Assay Office Birmingham, AnchorCert Analytical testing laboratory, AnchorCert Gemmological laboratory, SafeGuard Jewellery Valuations and retail training division AnchorCert Academy. This dynamic business has diversified in order to fulfil its mission, now offering hallmarking, laser marking, analytical testing, research and development, diamond grading, coloured gemstone identification, pearl authentication, jewellery, watch and silverware valuations, retail training, bespoke courses, heritage events and consultancy; it will also soon open a new division in Mumbai, India.
Now firmly established in its new, state-of-the-art premises in the heart of Birmingham’s bustling jewellery quarter, the AnchorCert Group is focused on growth and looking for new colleagues to join its dynamic team.
