As an Administrator you will:
Assist the site management to control and co-ordinate a safe and efficient operation of our site in accordance with instructions, health & safety and legislative requirements. You will be expected to undertake site administrative duties ensuring that equipment is maintained with the appropriate records completed. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Dealing and discussing trans-frontier shipment documents, waste management permits, integrated management systems, risk and COSHH assessments, emergency procedures and other relevant health & safety and environmental documents
• To protect the company’s ability to trade by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including health and safety in the workplace and the ‘Duty of Care’
• To provide a prompt & efficient service to haulage sub-contractors
• To report any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice or corruption by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or member of staff to the site management
• You may at times be requested to work at other sites and assist with recycling
The successful Site Operations Supervisor will need:
• Good timekeeping, communication and numerical skills
• Excellent IT skills
• The ability to use own initiative to maintain operations
• An adaptable attitude, showing they can deal with any new operational problems as they arise
• Able to operate as part of a larger team as well as on your own
• A flexible approach in order to find more cost effective processes and put these into practice
• To be responsible, accountable and performance driven
• Comfortable dealing with staff, peers and external contacts
