Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire
The salary offered is experience dependent up to 32,000pa.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Engineers will initially be required to have qualifications relating to their specific discipline and ideally be apprentice trained. Due to the nature of the business environment the role will require flexible working hours based upon a 40 hour week. Generally work will be allocated in your region however, some overnight stays may also be required due to the location of the practices but these will be kept to a minimum.
Skills and attributes:
Self-motivated, organised and versatile
Flexible work ethics
Aptitude for learning new skills and obtaining technical qualifications
Ability to problem solve and improvise
Excellent communicative and customer liaison skills
Computer skills
Full Driving license (a company vehicle will be provided)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Training (fire warden, legislation awareness, manual handling, health and Safety overview)
Compliance testing and certification (PAT, periodic Installation, landlord gas certificates, emergency light, fire alarm, fire extinguisher)
Service and Repairs (dental chairs, suction motors, compressors, electrical/plumbing installations, air conditioning systems, fire/intruder alarms and general building fabric maintenance and repairs)
Our client operates an apprenticeship scheme and therefore technicians will be required to mentor trainees in all aspects of the role and take responsibility for their future development and continual assessment of their abilities.
