An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technician to join the Vydrofarm team at HydroGarden based in Coventry.

HydroGarden has been supplying specialist Hydroponic equipment to the trade since February 1996. As a Vydrofarm Technician you will assist with the manufacture and servicing of Vydrofarm systems, which are designed to grow salads and vegetables commercially in a hydroponic environment.  Your key duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist with building systems to meet customer requirements
  • Follow instructions for growing trials in Vydrofarm systems
  • Assist with the development of systems, liaising with customers both in the UK and abroad when necessary
  • Develop expertise and knowledge of hydroponics and Vydrofarm systems
  • If trained - conduct electrical work to specifications and within electrical level of expertise
  • Assist with all aspects of growing trials in Vydrofarm units.
  • Demonstrate initiative both working in the warehouse and when on site
  • Complete any paperwork as necessary
  • Assist with the maintenance of stock levels to meet build requirements
  • Attend shows and exhibitions as necessary, presenting and selling company products and services to clients
  • Conduct site visits to service systems or help with technical issues and training
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, advising and assisting with technical issues
  • Assist with resolution of client concerns
  • Learn sales techniques for self-development and to deal with customers as required

An ideal Vydrofarm Technician will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise work effectively and multi-task
  • Close attention to detail in order to build high quality and intricate systems
  • Ability to work to specific specifications
  • Sound electrical expertise an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in plumbing or electrical trades
  • Logical thinker with problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overnight travel when necessary
  • Flexibility
  • IT skills

In return for this you will receive a starting salary of £16,000 per annum along with company performance bonus.
