Senior Care Assistant Jobs - Bournemouth, Poole & Swanage

An exciting opportunity has arisen for several experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our Bournemouth branch working with clients who have learning disabilities and live in the local Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage areas.

You will need experience of working with young adults who have learning disabilities and live in a supported living environment.  It's essential you are confident delivering personal care with a mindful approach towards protecting the dignity of the individual and promoting their independence. 

You will need to have a Level 3 NVQ / SVQ qualification in health and social care plus a medication administering certificate for this role.

You will be working with the same individuals on a regular basis, so this is the perfect opportunity to build a relationship with both colleagues and clients. We take pride in the quality of our care, so we’re looking for experienced individuals with a genuine, caring approach as well as the skills to deliver person-centred care.

In order to be considered for this senior healthcare assistant job,  you will need the following:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care or nursing home in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months or willing to book onto a Newcross course
  • NVQ3 / SVQ3 in Health and Social Care essential
  • Medication administration certificate essential.
