Trinity Mirror plc is looking for an accomplished Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Manager to be part of a finance transformation project implementing a new finance & reporting system.

Working across the Trinity Mirror plc group (Regional & National), the successful ERP Project Manager will have overall day-to-day responsibility for the activities of the team leads and the resources of the program, balancing the needs for program success with the skills and capabilities of the team members.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be predominantly based in our Liverpool offices but regular travel will be required to our other offices (expenses will be covered in line with company policy).

You

You will be responsible for the development of an effective planning process, for the creation of an integrated project schedule that encompasses all aspects for the ERP Finance Program and for the execution in conformance to plans, the continuing update and adjustment of plans / execution to fit changing circumstances. Ideally, you will have had experience of project managing a large finance project and be familiar with using either Microsoft Nav, Oracle, SAP or Agresso finance systems..

What you'll be doing

In order to succeed in this role you will:

  • be a good communicator and must interact regularly and comfortably across various departments from individuals to the ERP Management Team level in order to negotiate solutions to build strong relationships
  • implement and lead an effective Business project change management process that pro-actively identifies project changes and incorporates an appropriate impact analysis
  • be responsible for creating and maintaining a monthly financial management process that incorporates actual financial performance to forecasted performance
  • follow the company's financial processes and policies
  • work cooperatively with the Vendors and functional Project Managers within the business
  • actively direct the development and maintenance of plans, practices and assignments
  • be responsible for making timely, effective decision at the project level and communicating those decisions both up and down the program structure
  • be able to lead, motivate and inspire the project team to work collaboratively with finance, the IT Programme Office, IT & our IT Partners (Endava)
