Practice Development Facilitator
Crewe

Salary:circa £27,200 Full Time

RESPONSIBLE TO:General Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Deliver identified L&D programmes and interventions for all staff ensuring that organisational and legislative standards are met
* Develop the skills, knowledge and competencies of lead staff and their teams to deliver the Belong service through coaching and role modelling best practice
* Ensure that Belong standards and values are upheld in everything that you do

SUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES

* Plan, organise and deliver corporate induction for new starters
* Work with lead staff and mentors to ensure that induction programmes are delivered in line with individual learning needs and Belong policy
* Plan, organise and carry out mandatory training ensuring targets are achieved e.g. Moving & Handling and fire training
* Ensure that staff are registered for relevant qualifications and their progress monitored
* Act as lead Moving and Handling Instructor working with household teams to ensure that customers have appropriate handling assessments and that necessary equipment is available
* Work with household teams to identify and develop action plans for service/ practice improvement ensuring development needs are reflected through individual PDP's
* Assess competency and identify training needs in order that the performance and development of individuals and teams is reviewed regularly and managed proactively.
* Work with the Support Manager to assess and audit care standards, procedures and care pathways to ensure that care delivery is in line with belong policies and values
* Identify, source and where appropriate deliver L&D interventions to meet identified needs
* Work with the Head of PM&D to evaluate learning and development interventions
* Maintain appropriate systems for recording learning and development activities to assist in workforce planning and development by identifying skill shortages/ requirements.
* Carry out ad-hoc training events as required e.g. Defib training, medication training etc.
* Ensure that L&D opportunities and resources delivered are accessible, cost effective and draw on best practice evidence in terms of content, process and structure
* Work with Support Manager to implement and embed the Gold Standards Framework

* Maintain the confidentiality of information
* Promote and ensure the good reputation of Belong
* Attend and constructively contribute to meetings relevant to your role
* Be responsible for your own personal development and undertake relevant L&D
* Ensure that Belong is a safe place to live and work, by following safe practices and responding to emergencies as required
* Adhere to all policies and procedures
* Where safeguarding concerns are raised/ identified ensure the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults policy is instigated including reporting to local authority safeguarding unit as required
* Carry out any other tasks reasonably assigned to you
