Sales Engineer

WEC Group have an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Engineer to join the engineering team based in Darwen, Lancashire. Working Mon-Thur 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2pm (40hrs per week) the successful Sales Engineer will receive a competitive salary of £20,000 - £40,000 OTE  dependent upon experience.

Privately owned for over 35 years, and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Engineer to join our busy and expanding team based in Darwen, Lancs.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

This is an interesting and varied role, which involves working on some excellent engineering projects, bringing fantastic prospects for the right candidate within a rapidly expanding modern company. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a technical engineering sales role, and will be responsible for the following:

- Preparation of detailed quotations and tenders for new and existing clients.

- Liaison with customers and follow up of potential sales.

- Interpretation of customers’ requirements from drawings or computer models.

- Liaison with material and sub contract service suppliers to determine best external costs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience the Sales Engineer will have:

- Ability to read and break down engineering drawings is essential

- Proven experience in a metal fabrication technical sales role is essential

- Proven background in fabrication and welding would be advantageous although full training will be provided

- Excellent mathematical and numerical skills

- Strong communication skills at all levels

- Must be computer literate

- Ability to manage own work load and excel under pressure in a busy environment
