Finance Officer
Part time 16 hours per week
£18,545 - £20,052 pa (pro rata)
Woodlands Hospice is seeking a confident, self motivated individual qualified to AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, or with equivalent experience, to support the Finance Manager in the delivery of a timely and accurate financial service to the charity.
The postholder will have proven experience in purchase and sales ledgers and be familiar with the maintenance of nominal ledgers and trial balance using a computerised accounting system.
This role is also responsible for the payroll preparation on a monthly basis prior to submission to an external provider for payroll processing. A detailed knowledge and experience of payroll is essential.
Skills and qualities required include good communication skills, an ability to work to strict deadlines with good prioritisation and have a desire to learn and continually develop.
