Job Title: Supplier Relationship Executive
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
With offices in London, Manchester and Melbourne, the company is an award winning Travel Management Company specialising in the charity, academic and not-for-profit sectors.
Due to the company’s continued growth they’re looking for a Supplier/Product Relationship Executive to join their supplier/Product management team. The main focus of this role is to manage a portfolio of airline, hotel and other supplier relationships to ensure maximum value is achieved for the business. Reporting to the company’s Supplier Relationship Manager this role will be responsible for supplier contract negotiations, and will continually look for opportunities to improve and enhance contracts, conditions and overrides.
Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Work within the guidelines of a relationship strategy for all key suppliers
- Maintain and develop mutually beneficial value relationships with suppliers through regular face-to-face, telephone and email contact.
- Negotiate and deliver best commercial outcomes from supplier partnerships and manage on-going performance and achievement of targets and goals
- Proactively identify, develop and implement strategies to maximise business opportunities
- Identify new opportunities with entrants into the market and unmanaged suppliers with potential for business growth
- Negotiate and manage air, hotel, rail and other supplier contracts for the business or on behalf of major customers
- Liaise with Head of Training to ensure relevant contract training is provided
- Liaise with reservations, fares, sales and marketing teams to ensure all products are available for sale and promoted appropriately
- Ensure contract updates are communicated across the business
- Regularly attend evening supplier functions in London and Manchester
- Meet and exceed personal objectives in line with company KPIs and account SLAs
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have relevant experience dealing with suppliers within the travel industry
- A proven track record negotiating, influencing and delivering results
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Have the ability to manage projects and deliver high quality results
- Have a high level of IT literacy including Excel, Word & PowerPoint, creation and management of complex data spreadsheets
- Have confident, clear and articulate presentation skills with a natural approach to dealing with people at all levels
- Have analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sources in order to identify areas of opportunities and growth
