Quantity Surveyor / Graduate Surveyor - Roofing and Cladding Contractor 25-35k + Company Car

Due to ongoing growth and development plans, this company is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working individual with a "can do" attitude that is keen to join their Contracts Division.

Responsibilities vary depending on the nature and stage of the project being worked on, but can include:

- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
- Assisting in establishing a client relationships and their requirements
- Performing risk, value management and cost control;
- Recommending and advising on procurement strategy;
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors and High Access employees
- Undertaking site surveys following tender requests
- Writing detailed progress updates for project clients
- Maintaining awareness of the roofing and cladding regulations
- Understanding health and safety regulations and the legal implications
- Understanding the roofing and cladding industry and terminology
- Awareness of the roofing and cladding supplier network nationally

Skills

The Company are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

- Practical and logical qualities and a methodical way of thinking
- A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills
- The ability to read and extract quantities and information from scaled drawings and blueprints
- The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
- Negotiating and team-working skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site
- Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
- Proficient with word & excel

While based in Cheshire, this role will require travel and overnight stays, therefore flexibility is essential.
