The College:

I am currently recruiting a Tutor Assessor of Agriculture for an Agricultural College within the Cheshire East region. The College is one of the premier land-based Colleges located in South Cheshire with an enviable reputation for quality and partnerships with industry. The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities, including its own golf course.

  • be highly motivated
  • be capable of promoting high, timely success rates of apprenticeship frameworks
  • have a Level 3 vocational qualification in an appropriate discipline or a willingness to achieve the Level 3 qualification within a specified timescale
  • have an Assessor award or be willing to achieve one within a specified timescale
  • have an Internal Verifier award or be willing to achieve one within a specified timescale
  • have a minimum teaching qualification of ?Certificate of Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector? or be willing to achieve one within a specified timescale
  • have experience of delivering or supporting Key Skills/Functional Skills
  • have at least a Level 2 in Maths & English or equivalent
  • be able to demonstrable evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • have excellent inter-personal skills in order to liaise with learners, parents, carers and staff appropriately
  • have excellent organisational skills in order to manage a busy working day effectively
  • have excellent team-work skills in order to work effectively within the Learning Support Department and within the wider College community
  • have excellent empathy skills in order to work with compassion and understanding when dealing with sensitive issues
