Our client is a leading company in the provision of non- emergency Patient Transport solutions to NHS trusts.

They use state of the art software to ensure that their non-emergency patients are transported appropriately in a timely and efficient manner from their home address to hospital for vital operations/health care treatment.

The organisation has recently undergone a period of rapid growth and now has offices in Eastbourne, Thruxton (near Andover) and Durrington (Worthing). As a result of this growth they are now seeking to increase the size of their Demand Centre which handles incoming calls/appointment bookings.

They are now seeking to recruit a number of Telephone Customer Service Professionals (no cold calling involved) who will take incoming calls from patients using their software and relay this information onwards to Ambulances who will transport the patients to their required hospital destination.

As our clients office is based in Thruxton near Andover, candidates will need to have their own transport due to the lack of public transport in the area.

Staff are required to work on a rota basis to covering the hours from 06.00 to 24:00 hours (Mon to Saturday) and 08:00 to 22:00 hours on Sundays.

Candidates for these roles will need an excellent telephone manner, be motivated, organised and have excellent communication/people skills. Full training will be given to successful candidates on our software and ambulance booking system.

Essential requirements of this role are as follows:

  • The ability to make quick decisions and multi-task
  • Excellent telephone manner and good communication skills
  • IT literate with a willingness to learn to operate our clients bespoke software system.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working within a healthcare, NHS or logistics environment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of dealing with customer`s over the phone, along with dealing with customer enquiries and bookings.
