Marketing Executive
Hours: 37.5 (Permanent, Full time)
Location: Cardiff, CF14 5WF
Basic salary: £25,000

Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Objective:
Administrative oversight of advertising campaigns, marketing materials and promotional activity and take proactive role in developing and implementing the marketing strategy.

The Marketing Executive is accountable for delivering measurable marketing campaigns on time, within budget and to a consistently high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials/promotional aids and new campaigns
  • Gather data and assist in developing marketing campaigns. Evaluate and report on marketing campaigns
  • Develop an excellent clinical understanding of the procedures and functionality of the product portfolio
  • Oversee the production of all marketing materials
  • Monitor production of all marketing materials and promotional aids to ensure consistency
  • Liaise with designers/printers regarding the production of marketing materials
  • Support the sales team with all forms of promotional activities and stock requirements
  • Manage the organisation of company participation in national/export exhibitions
  • Deliver marketing campaigns on time and within budget under supervision
  • Manage the Company's online presence via the website and social media
  • Proof reading advertisements and promotional copy
  • Develop launch plan and materials for new products
  • Monitor all marketing stock levels and obtain quotes/re-ordering within budget guidelines
  • Actively use market research/industry information to influence campaign development
  • Ensure all marketing communications, including on and off line, adhere to data protection legislation
  • Ensure the corporate identity is maintained and used within guidelines at all times.

Person specification:

  • Excellent communicator with good writing skills
  • Creative flair
  • Well organised with attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills with experience of carrying out market analysis
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Experience in a similar position with at least 2 years experience and proven track record of successful campaigns
  • A good grasp of online & off line communications and effective tools.
  • Event management organisation
  • A full understanding of all aspects of the marketing mix, ideally with awareness of the medical and/or healthcare market.
  • Educated to degree level, ideally with marketing qualification
  • Smart appearance at all times
  • Empathy and good listening skills
  • Driving Licence essential – frequent travel as and when required in course of duties

  • The role will be based in Cardiff.
